Child Rights Business Game

The goal of the business game: formation of legal knowledge among children in an orphanage.

Tasks:
- control over the assimilation of basic norms relating to the rights of the child, the formation of skills to apply acquired knowledge in specific situations
- education of the civil legal position of pupils.
The Child Rights Business Game is designed for 14-15 year olds, with two teams participating in the game, the one with the higher score wins The game is played in five stages.

Warm-up

Cards are distributed to teams with legal concepts and dates related to the adoption of the relevant documents All concepts must be defined and events related to dates named For each correct definition, the team receives 1 point.
Human rights This is a protected, state-provided legalized opportunity to do something.
Declaration is a non-binding document (recommendatory in nature) that proclaims the basic principles.
Convention is an international agreement on some special issue that is binding on those states that have acceded to it.
Freedom of conscience Is the ability to practice any religion or not to practice any.
Discrimination - restriction or deprivation of people's rights for national, religious, political and other reasons.
Genocide Is the destruction of certain population groups (and entire peoples) for racial, national, religious, political and other reasons.
1959 - adoption by the UN General Assembly of the Declaration of the Rights of the Child.
1989 - adoption by the UN General Assembly of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

The Legal Status of the Child Competition

1. Becomes fully capable (of an adult) and can acquire any rights through his actions.
2. Subject to initial military registration (a registration certificate is issued).
3. Bears criminal liability for any crimes.
4. Subject to administrative liability for offenses in a special manner (through the commission de
   lam minors), for some offenses (for example, petty hooliganism) bears administrative responsibility in the general manner.

18. Admission to work (for light work no more than 4 hours a day) with the consent of one of the parents is allowed.
19. Can make deposits to credit institutions (banks) and dispose of them.
20. May exercise the rights of an author protected by law as a result of his intellectual activity.
21. Has the right to independently manage your earnings, scholarships, and other income.

This competition allows you to test the knowledge of pupils about changes in the legal status (rights, responsibilities, responsibilities) of a child at various age stages.
Each team receives two sets of cards:
(1) Major age milestones in a child's life;

Teams are given the task a week before the game: to find real facts of violation of children's rights in Russia and other countries. These facts must be confirmed by something: a clipping from a newspaper or magazine; "witness testimony" (if this is a fact from the life of a school, yard, family, etc.); video recording of a TV show, etc.
