Today, guys, we will talk about a significant date that has entered the history of Russia as a whole.Afghanistan war.
During this time, I wanted you to draw the line between tragic war and peace, to reflect on the facts that will be affected. To fill your hearts with nobility and respect for Russia, you also want to be proud of your countrymen. But at the same time, we will develop the ability to listen, analyze, draw conclusions while competently expressing our thoughts.
Perhaps there will never come a time on earth when the word “soldier” becomes unnecessary and unfamiliar. War is a terrible word. How much trouble and tears she brings again and again. Another war went down in history, which did not spare the young souls of the boys. Unannounced, heroic and tragic, it was 2 times longer than the Great Patriotic War.
Slide (map): Afghanistan is a country in southwest Asia. Diplomatic relations between Afghanistan and Soviet Russia were established in 1919.
On April 27, 1978, a revolution took place in Afghanistan, leading to a fratricidal war. Communists came to power, who forbade to perform morning motifs, to visit churches, forbade to perform Muslim rites. Nobody wanted to agree with that. Thus began the civil war in Afghanistan against the Communists. Afghanistan asked for help from Soviet troops. Our country responded (Brezhnev). Our government hoped that the deployment would be short-term.
? Why do you think Soviet troops were deployed in Afghanistan? (assistance in stabilizing the situation and repelling possible aggression from outside). The task of the Russian troops is to protect the local population from gangs, as well as distribute food, fuel and essentials.
The war began on December 25, 1979.
Slide: The war in Afghanistan lasted 9 years, 1 month and 19 days — 2238 days. There is still no consensus on what happened, but there is no doubt about the courage and honor with which the Soviet soldiers performed their military duty, as they called it then – international.
Every one of our soldiers who went through that war became part of Afghanistan. Afghanistan has become a part of everyone who fought there. Fools called Afghanistan a school of courage.
On February 15, 1989, our troops withdrew from Afghanistan. February 15 is considered the Day of Remembrance of Russians who performed their duty outside the Fatherland.
Slide: According to official data, over the years in Afghanistan we lost more than 15 thousand, 36 thousand were wounded, more than 300 soldiers were missing. The worst was 1984. 2,343 soldiers died. In the battles were shot down 333 helicopters, 118 aircraft, cars and fuel tankers – more than 11 thousand units.
? How many years this year marks the date of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan. (24 years old)
For no reason did young soldiers die, sent to hell to the land of sands and winds. These young soldiers will be discussed here:

Student Performance: Wars – Internationalists
You’ve probably seen the movie “9th Company” about the events of this war.
Slide: In Khabarovsk, guys, there is a memorial on Glory Square. The Black Tulip was the name of the plane that transported dead soldiers from the battlefield. On the podium of granite tower three black pylons in the form of tulip petals, on which are the names of residents of the Khabarovsk Territory, who died in “hot spots”. In the center, at the base of the petals, there is a hemisphere with a diameter of about 2 m, on which, as on a globe, the zones of conflicts where the Far East fought are marked with lights. Around the hemisphere, the inscription reads: "To the Landers who fell in local wars and military conflicts." The inscription in front of the tulip reads: “Dead in the performance of international and military duty in peacetime”.
Rarely is the day when people do not come to this obelisk. Some stop to read by whom and when cast this monument, others come with sadness in their eyes and, quietly putting a bouquet of live flowers at the marble foot of the obelisk, are silent, casting their eyes on the black petals of the tulip pierced by fragments of shells.

Slide:
Minute of silence (monument)
Remember us, Russia,
Wicked and tired,
Stupid with heat,
No sleep, no water,
Measuring lives
From stop to stop,
From star to star,
From trouble to trouble.

Let us remember not only the wars, the Afghans, but also those who did not return from the hot spots.
Outcome:When did the Afghan war begin? How long did it last?
How many years this year is the end of the Soviet withdrawal from Afghanistan?
What are the heroes who fought in Afghanistan?
