With the help of an organ of vision, a person receives 90% of all information about the world around him. Currently, the child’s eye strain is very high, they rest only during sleep.
One of the main factors in the occurrence and development of myopia in children is intense visual stress. The child’s eye gets used to working at close distances (working with a book, notebook) and loses the ability to clearly see distant objects.
Consequently, a way out of this situation can be found in the following: it is necessary to expand the visual and spatial activity of the eye during school lessons.
Various exercises have been developed to protect vision. Eye gymnastics is useful for everyone to prevent visual impairments, and this is especially useful for children.
1, Working with an ophthalmic machine
To prevent myopia, you can use special eye exercises - ophthalmic simulator.
The ophthalmic simulator is a special scheme of visual-motor projections This scheme was developed by a group of professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences V.F. Bazarny.
Eye exercises according to this scheme involve the movement of the eyeball in all directions. The diagram, using special arrows, indicates the main trajectories along which the gaze should move during the task: up-down, left-right, clockwise (and counterclockwise) along the outer and inner ovals, in circles in the center. Each trajectory differs from the rest in color. The diagram is bright, colorful. Exercises are performed standing.
2, "Eye Run"
For example, a 1 x 2 m Whatman paper sheet shows some colored figures (oval, figure eight, wave, spiral, rhombus, etc.) or crossed lines of different bright colors 1 cm thick. This poster is placed above eye level in any convenient place (above the board, on the side wall, on the ceiling of the classroom). At the request of the teacher, children begin to "run" with their eyes along a given trajectory. Such exercises can preferably be carried out in a playful way. You can attach a butterfly to the tip of the pointer and go on a trip with it. Similar exercises are performed standing.

3, "Upper - Down, Left - Right"
Eye movement up-down, left-right Then close your eyes, count to 10 Repeat 5-6 times.
4, "The Circle"
Imagine a large circle - Making circular movements with your eyes, first clockwise, then counterclockwise.
5, "Square"
Imagine a square - Make movements with your eyes from the upper right corner to the lower left corner, then - to the upper left corner and to the lower right corner Repeat 3-5 times. (A chalkboard can be used instead of a square.)
6, "Drawing with my nose"
Children need to look at the sign and remember the word or letter that appears on it. Then close your eyes and write this element in the air with your nose.
(The teacher can choose a task according to the topic of the lesson.)
7, "Looking on my fingers"
Place the index fingers of both hands in front of you, with each finger being watched by your eye: the right finger is the right eye, the left finger is the left. Spread your fingers to the sides and bring them together. Bring them together and point them in opposite directions: the right finger (and with it the right eye) to the left side, and the left finger (and with it the left eye) to the right side. Return to the starting position.
